Katie's Senior PROM

KATIE and JESSE at PROM.   It was really a fun evening for them.    Besides dinner on the Ruston Way waterfront and the dance, they fit in a trip to Seattle including
riding the giant ferris wheel at Midnight

Olympic Peninsula Weekend!

We love driving the Olympic Peninsula Loop!   Our first stop is Lake Quinault Lodge with it's beautiful lodge and lawn and restaurant.  We love to see how much it rains here each year, over 200 inches!!

Next stop is Kalaloch beach.   We love this place with all the rocks and logs and places to explore.   This year we even stayed overnight in a cabin and had a blast playing games, making smores and camping out together.

We had to make a quick stop in Forks...even found some vampires :)
Last stop was the Sol Duc Hot Springs...this was our first time!    It was quite an experience and we felt like we were in a foreign country with all the tourists in the pools.   And the smell of sulfur was really strong.   I'll have to admit, we didn't last too long at this spot.   This time we didn't take the trek up to Hurricane Ridge since it was still cold and covered with snow.   Next time!!!!   What a beautiful part of the world we live in.
