Beautiful Bride and Groom

Sarah is married!   We are so happy for her and the groom,  Justin Stewart.   They wed September 15, 2011 in the Salt Lake City Temple.   Our Sister Bateman was able to see them after the ceremony.
Very happy day!

Sarah and Justin with about half of their nieces and nephews.
Wedding Reception was yesterday on the Betteridge hill.
Katie and Kelsey took turns playing the piano for background music.

Happy little cousins, Braden and Preston at the reception.   They loved the candy bar!

Hannah was a great babysitter for Baby Allie while Rachel was the Reception photographer.

Best first week ever

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
Tuesday, September 6 we started school.   Hannah was excited.  Preston was reluctant.   Katie is not pictured due to the fact she is leaves at 6am and I keep forgetting to get her back to school shot.

TAYLOR SWIFT
Wednesday, September 7, we attended the Taylor Swift concert at the Tacoma Dome.   It was Hannah, Katie, Sara and me.   Wow, Dad even got us pit passes and so the girls were standing at Taylor's feet.   She threw her guitar pic and Katie caught it.   A kid at school offered Katie $600 dollars for the pic but she declined.   It was a really wonderful concert/show where she performed all the songs on her Speak Now album.   We got home at 1230am--amazingly Katie came home finished her homework (until about 2 am) and still made it to Seminary at 6am the next morning AND she did great at her first swim meet of the season, getting varsity sweat times in the 200 i.m. and 100 breast stroke .

Waiting for the show to start.....

We stood by her stage dancers while waiting for the show to start and watching the intro performances. I guess we were all a bit starstruck!

DOCK JUMPING
We have had amazing weather for the Northwest.   The past month has been warm and dry.   First week of school was 85ish each day.   So...  Saturday, September 10, Katie was invited to go boating with some friends.   Yes, that is Katie below jumping from the dock like a crazy person.   Fun times.

                                    PUYALLUP FAIR
Monday, September 12, we went to the Puyallup Fair...ate dinner....scones, ice cream, elephant ears..this is the best fair EVER!
Maddy took Preston on the Wild Cat.   I don't have a picture of this but Preston and I laughed and cried and prayed ourselves through the Sky dive ride.   I can't even describe it but crammed in that little metal compartment, upside down, 200 feet in the air, I nearly had a panic attack and thought I might not make it.   I have no idea why I agreed to go with him on that ride...getting way to old for these things.

Preston was impressed with the award winning 900 pound pumpkin.

SELENA GOMEZ
AND....another concert!    This time Hannah, Audrey and Mike enjoyed Selena Gomez at the Puyallup Fair grandstand.

Wow...it has been a fun first week of school.

Hurricane Ridge

Our last vacation of summer 2011 we decided to make the drive to Hurricane Ridge for Labor Day. The setting on the north end of the Olympic Mountians is absolutely breathtaking--
one of our favorite spots.

Family picture on our favorite bench....we are missing Bethany Emily and Christian!

OLYMPIC GAME FARM in Sequim is just a hop away from Hurriane ridge so we stopped before heading home...fed the bears, the buffalo and llamas. Those big animals were intimidating when they came so close to the car!

We ate dinner at this really nice restaurant in Port Angeles. While we were waiting to be seated--No joke--we found Preston caressing this lamp with that silly smolder look on his face.
