It's official: Summer has arrived!

First batch of raspberry jam...so yummy.
Katie made some bread to go with and we pretty much devoured it all.

Rainiers game with the Soundview Ward.
The girls were asked to help Rubarb with a magic trick on the field.

            Some time at Lake Steilacoom
Katie, Kelsey and Bryce leave for a humanitarian mission to Tonga for a couple weeks.
We are missing them and excited to hear of their adventures.

4TH OF JULY:   Breakfast at the Lybberts

Bike ride on the interurban trail...about 8 miles in total from Cheney stadium across the bridge and back again.   It was a fun adventure for the family.

 SWIMMING!!!!

Forest Grove

We had a fun weekend in Forest Grove visiting Bethany and Sean's new home.  It is a tiny hippie like town with strawberries fields and pastures all around it and about 30 minutes from Portland.    We enjoyed bowling, a movie, visiting their garden, attending church together and a yummy homemade meal made by Bethany.   We are excited to have them just a couple hours away.

Mike had a high score for bowling...  185  !
McMinnimans is a cute little hotel, restaurant and movie theater that we visited...
hope to stay there next time we visit!

Field Day: Best day of the year

Preston was so excited for field day at school.   I'm pretty sure he took these friendly team competitions more seriously than he has taken his school work all year long.

Classroom teacher Mrs. Vaver and PE teacher Mr. Wensley

All ready for his last Pack meeting of the year.   Preston was very proud to get his activity segments and Bobcat award officially sewn to his uniform.

Goodbye Middle School

Katie: End of Junior Year

Lots of fun stuff for Katie as her Junior year comes to an end...final choir concert...
Wilson Prom...Curtis prom last minute...and more...
Of course getting ready for the Proms was probably the highlight...haha.

 How does this work?
 Fletcher's dad to the rescue!

Katie had a wonderful time at the Wilson prom with Fletcher and lots of his friends.   He was voted Prom King which was pretty fun too.

Prom, take 2, Kelsey comes to the rescue and helps Katie with her hair and makeup.
What a great friend/cousin!

A tale of two shoes...Katie is still several inches taller than Alissa even with her flats and Alissa's 5 inch platforms.   Beautiful girls and wonderful friends.

Katie's friend MacKenzie is voted Prom Queen at the Curtis Prom...

All of Katie's aquatic friends bond together to support their friend Porter who was just diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.   We are praying that the treatments are successful so Porter
can be back strong to enjoy his Senior Year.
Fun to be a witness to Fletchers accomplishments as he graduates with many honors, and receives his Eagle Scout award.  For him it's off to college to study and play soccer for Westminster college in SLC.
