Hawaii !!!!

We had a wonderful trip to Oahu....here are the highlights in pictures.

Our rental house on the North Shore in Laie was wonderful!   We had amazing sunrise's and were just a couple steps from the sand and the beach.  After a day exploring the North Shore we would come home and Preston immediately ran outside to enjoy the surf on Laie Bay.   The waves were big enough to boogie board but not too dangerous, although they did wipe me out a few times.   The first morning after we arrived Preston shouted..."Whoah!   We are in Paradise!"

              WAIMEA Falls and Valley

POLYNESIAN CULTURAL CENTER was a wonderful day complete with lots of fun cultural shows from the Pacific Island cultures and a Luau and Ring of Fire show.

Turtles on the North Shore beaches!

So much fun to have Grandma with us...Happy 83rd birthday!!!

Just one of our neighbors in Laie...haha

New family hobby...we have been strumming it up on the Ukelele!

Laie Temple and visitors center was a special place for a Sunday visit.

After 5 nights on the North Shore we moved to a place just west of Honolulu, th Marriot Ko Olina with it's beautiful lagoons.  It  was another paradise.   We loved the lagoons, the pools,  the beautiful rooms, snorkeling, paddle boarding, the sunsets and the restaurants.

After a day of swimming in the pools and snorkeling, Preston was a tad bit sunburnt.

                                                            View from our room

Finally we enjoyed a visit to Pearl Harbor which was educational and inspiring.
A Happy relaxing vacation.

Happy Birthday Beautiful!

Hannah turned 14...can it really be?
She is smart and kind and beautiful inside and out.
Eighth grade at Curtis Junior High has been a great one so far for her.
We are pretty lucky to have her in our family.

Aaron and Hannah share a birthday together!   31 and 14!!!
Sweet memory of Grandpa Betteridge and Hannah when she was about 2.
Curtis Junior High School Orchestra took first place at Gresham Oregon!   Hannah has learned so much this year playing the cello under the direction of Mr. Westgaard.
